亲爱的 HN,<p>我即将成为一名父亲，对此我充满期待，我们也尽了最大的努力去准备。<p>然而，有一个想法一直困扰着我。<p>我已经完成了计算机科学的学士学位，并将在秋季开始攻读硕士学位。<p>不过，我的工作经验非常少。我的成绩不错，喜欢学习，并且担任过助教。但我从未在计算机科学领域担任过专业职位，也不认为自己是一名非常出色的“开发者”。<p>我担心自己无法像同学们在学校或在业余项目和实习中那样出色地工作（或工作那么长时间），并且由于缺乏经验，未来的雇主会拒绝我。<p>我不知道，也许我有点过于悲观了。

Dear HN,<p>I am a soon-to-be dad. I am looking forward to it, and we have prepared as best we can.<p>However, one thought is nagging me.<p>I have finished my bachelors degree in computer science, and I am onset to start my master degree in the fall.<p>However, I have very little job experience. I have decent grades, enjoy studying and have held a TA position. But I have never worked in a CS-related role professionally and do not consider myself a very good "developer".<p>I am afraid that I will not be able to work as good (or long) as my peers on school, or on side projects and internships; and that, due to my lack of experience, will have future employers turn me down.<p>I don't know; maybe I am a bit too pessimistic.
I am based in Scandinavia for reference.<p>Anyone with experience having a child, before your career took off? Or similarly, while in school?<p>Any advice or words upon the matter is appreciated.<p>Best wishes, Lasse.
