提问 HN：硬件还会再次变得便宜吗？

大约在2015年之前，感觉硬件的价格一直在下降。后来发生了一些事情，硬件价格不再每年下降。如果考虑到通货膨胀因素，现在一台配置中等的笔记本电脑或台式电脑，对我来说比那时贵得多。是的，它的配置更好了，但它需要这些配置来弥补所有应用程序带来的额外臃肿。<p>考虑到DRAM、CPU、GPU和SSD的短缺，短期内硬件价格似乎不会下降。你认为它会回到十年前的样子吗？还是这会成为新常态？

Up until about 2015 it felt like hardware was always getting cheaper. Then something happened and hardware stopped getting cheaper every year. Adjusted for inflation a mid-range laptop or desktop costs me much more today than it did back then. Yes, it has better specs but it needs it to make up for the extra bloat of all applications.<p>Given DRAM, CPU, GPU, and SSD shortages it does not seem hardware will become cheaper in the short term. Do you think it will ever go back to how it was ten years ago or is this the new normal?
