I have been plagued by this bug forever.
If you use virtual desktops, there is a scenario where you screenshot something in the current virtual desktop and then switch to a different virtual desktop.
The Snipping tool appears to relaunch itself after taking a screenshot and then displays the preview.
The issue is I take a screenshot of virtual desktop #1 then quickly switch to virtual desktop #2. Then Snipping tool relaunches and shows the preview. It launched in virtual desktop #2 displaying windows in virtual desktop #1.
Now, maybe this isn't a bug. But I keep different work environments or personal windows, etc, in different virtual desktops.
I've had it happen where I was screen presenting to others and alt-tabbed into a Snipping Tool I thought was on another virtual desktop and revealing whatever was screenshotted. I had accidently revealed a demo MVP of an app we weren't ready to announce yet.
Its further annoying once back to vitual desktop #1 and trying to find the Snipping Tool. It's not in the list of windows because it was moved to #2.
Then to make matters worse, if while on #1, you try to open the Snipping Tool it snaps you over to virtual desktop #2 again displaying anything else open on that display. You end up having to move it back or close / reopen on the correct display.
Please just allow the Snipping Tool to exist in multiple virtual desktops or remember the virtual desktop it was opened in and always reopen in that desktop unless moved.
