详细来说：我是一名软件开发领域的项目经理，我确实注意到与人工智能相关的技术发展得有多快。
对于我自己的职业来说，看到未来的趋势并不难，尤其对于那些表现不佳的人来说更是如此。
我与我在项目中合作的工程师们保持着良好的关系。一般来说，我尽量不干涉他们的工作，让他们自己做决定，而不是像个任务管理者。我也试图阻止外部团队打扰他们，提前或尽快清除障碍。对我来说，这份工作最累人的部分是处理各种关系，但从我的角度来看，这就是我拿工资要处理的事情，并且要保护大家免受其影响。
我认为，如果人工智能相关的工具得到有效整合，那么在项目中编译和共享信息的需求将大大减少（如果不是完全消除的话）。
也许需要的项目经理会减少（如果还有的话）。老实说，这可能是一件好事。现在有很多项目经理都做得不太好。（也许有时候也包括我！）

A little more detail: I'm specifically a project manager in software development, and I've definitely noticed how quickly AI related technologies are advancing.<p>It's not hard for me to see the writing on the wall for my own profession, especially for lower performers.<p>I've had good relationships with the engineers I've partnered with on projects. Generally I just try to stay out of their way, enable them to make their own decisions instead of being some kind of task master. I've also tried to prevent external groups from bothering them, remove blockers ahead of time or as quickly as possible if needed. The most tiring part of the job for me is the politics, but that is like... what I get paid to deal with and shield folks from in my view.<p>I think if AI related tooling is integrated effectively, then the need for compiling and sharing information on a project gets reduced significantly (if not eliminated outright).<p>Maybe fewer project managers will be needed (if any). That's probably a good thing honestly. There's a lot of project managers out there that are pretty terrible. (maybe even me sometimes!)<p>I'm doing some serious soul searching on whether to leave the profession entirely after 12 years, or whether to stick with it. Open to suggestions.
