Some time ago, I was experimenting with AWS S3 buckets and noticed that my teammate managed to create one using her own name. I was surprised - since S3 bucket names are globally unique - that it was still available.<p>So I decided to see how generic a name I could claim.<p>My first try, "aws", failed. But the second one, "gov", succeeded.<p>So now, technically speaking, I "host" a government website: http://gov.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/<p>If anyone’s thinking of founding a new country, let me know - I already have the hosting sorted.
