问 HN：中国高考与欧洲或印度考试有何不同？

一提到高考，我经常看到它被拿来和美国的大学入学方式对比。但我从未见过它与欧洲/印度的考试进行对比，我觉得它们其实很相似——你需要在整个高中阶段为考试做准备，成绩决定了你能上哪所大学，或者能不能上大学。在美国，高考似乎被描述得非常异域化，而对我这个波兰人来说，它“仅仅”看起来像是我们高中考试的更难的等价物。
我不知道该去哪里提问，感觉 HN 是最好的地方。

When Gaokao is brought up, I often see it in contrast to American way of admission to universities. But I never see it brought up in contrast to European/Indian exams, and I felt that they're quite similar - you are supposed to study for it through your entire high school, and the scores determine what uni - if any - can you go to. It feels it's very exoticized in USA, while for me a Pole it "just" looks like harder equivalent of our high school exams.<p>I didn't know where I could ask this, and HN felt like best place.
