Before the new model launch, I used the app several times per day for all sorts of tasks and conversations.<p>GPT-5 voice conversations are buggy and repeat the custom personalization instructions like a self-promoting MLM bot. It's been a terrible user experience compared to 4o and the other specialized models.<p>I was a paid subscriber from day one, but today I cancelled and I'm moving to the API / playground.<p>I REALLY hope they bring back the model picker, I would resubscribe if they did, but for now I've had to turn off personalization and set the 'personality' to robot -until my paid sub expires.
