I get tons of AI slop spam and am surprised at how much makes it through gmail's spam filters, and my Mac's spam filters.<p>I also have noticed that if I mark as spam on my Mac (Mail application), then if the sender replies to his own email, it will still land in my inbox. This seems crazy — if I designated the first message in a thread as spam, wouldn't that automatically mean that any subsequent reply (especially from the original sender) would also be spam? It seems like this doesn't happen if I mark as spam in gmail, even if I don't explicitly block the sender.<p>Any tips on minimizing all this junk mail? I guess what I really want is to not be notified on my phone/watch unless the message is from someone I have previously emailed with. This would create some false negatives, but that would be better than living with all these annoying false positives.
