我手头有各种不同年代的设备，我注意到Claude似乎是在本地运行的。
我说的不是Claude Code，那个命令行工具。
我说的是在任何浏览器中打开的网站。<p>举个例子，我有一台老旧的东芝Satellite笔记本电脑，使用Claude时，风扇会加速运转，笔记本电脑的温度也会升高，就像在挖比特币一样。其他任何AI聊天客户端的网站都不会导致这种情况。
这并不是说它不会占用我其他设备的CPU，它当然会。<p>有没有其他人注意到这个问题？我试着搜索了一下，但一无所获。我看到的所有信息都说它不是在本地运行，但我的用户体验和资源监视器却给出了相反的结论。<p>编辑：我问这个问题是因为，如果我自己在进行计算，我为什么要花20美元？我们为什么要付费？

I have a variety of devices of different ages, and I’ve noticed that Claude specifically appears to run locally.
No I’m not referring to Claude Code, the CLI tool.
I’m talking about the website in any browser.<p>I have an old Toshiba Satellite for example, when using Claude my fans ramp up and the laptop heats up like it’s a bitcoin miner. No other AI chat client website causes this.
This is not to say it doesn’t ramp up the CPU of my other devices which it certainly does.<p>Has anyone else noticed this? I try searching to no avail. Everything I see says it does not run locally but my user experience, and resource monitors, says otherwise.<p>Edit: I ask because why the fuck am I paying $20 when I’m doing the computing? Why are any of us paying?
