我还记得，过去网络上的大多数服务都是免费的，靠广告维持。
那时候，服务也不需要你登录，因为它们更看重总页面浏览量，而不是收集数据和推销订阅。
我觉得那个时代的网络更好，真希望我们能回到过去。

I'm old enough to remember that most services on the web were free and supported by ads.<p>Services also didn't need you to log in because they valued total page views over collecting data and upselling subscriptions.<p>I felt like the web was better in that era and I wish we could go back.
