I recently launched StopAddict, a lightweight and gamified app to help people quit their addictions (dopamine, nicotine, social media, etc.) and rebuild self-discipline one day at a time.<p>Every day you resist a bad habit, you earn XP and level up your character. If you relapse, your streak and level reset — it’s brutal, but effective. There’s also a journal and daily review to reflect on your progress and triggers.<p>Why I built it: I struggled for years with compulsive phone use and unhealthy routines. None of the solutions I tried really worked. So I built the tool I wish I had — minimalist, fun, and designed to make progress visible.<p>I’d love feedback from the HN community — especially if you’ve ever tried to build self-discipline or quit something hard.
